Be a VP: Virgin Princess
A baby girl was born and she took her first breath. The
sparkle in her I eyes lit up the room and there was a faint
outline of a crown resting upon her head. She was born to
royalty. As she grew older her crown became more prominent.
Many people tried to steal it for their own pleasures, but
the girl did not sway with the wind. She stood up tall. She
had decided to keep her crown shining and remain a Virgin
Princess. That girl is you; you are born to greatness, you
are a princess.
But why should you choose to be a VP? What are the privileges
of such a royal state? One privilege is chastity, which is
given as a gift to all women of every walk of life. You have
royalty within. When you were born you were
crowned a VP and as such are to be treasured and respected.
You should be proud of protecting your body. You have the
strength it takes to stick to your decisions and treasure
your sexuality. There is a great pressure from
the media and your peers to have sex. They promote the idea
that everything will be fine as long as you are protected
by birth control. Abstinence is the only foolproof way of
not becoming pregnant and not getting a sexually transmitted
disease. What you need to realize is that you have dignity
and honor. You are a Virgin Princess.
Another privilege of being a princess is freedom. Sex may
have short pleasures but it often has lasting consequences
of pain, loneliness, disease, shame, anger, trauma, and possibly
pregnancy. Then there is the even more horrifying prospect
of the death of an unwanted child. Treasuring your sexuality
and saving it for marriage ensures that the complications
of an unwanted child are not present in your life and you
have the freedom to pursue your education and career ambitions.
Someday, I want to present my crown to my husband to show
him how much I honor and love him by saving my virginity for
marriage. When I do have a child with my husband it will be
wanted, invited and loved. Knowing that my baby will grow
up in a home with a nurturing family is a reason for celebration.
Unfortunately, popular culture often condemns teens who are
not sexually active. As a VP, you can influence and inspire
others to protect and honor themselves. Many youth today do
not have a role model or even know
they are a princess. By living a life of purity you are an
example to them of how to have self-confidence and self-control.
I have been able to talk to many girls about their decisions
and encourage them to stay pure and not
relinquish their royal position.
Every Princess has a kingdom with certain boundaries and
she must act appropriately in order to protect her realm.
Courtly or royal behavior may be very different for today's
society but setting boundaries is still important. Writing
down exactly what your boundaries are will help you maintain
them. Then make sure you establish accountability partners
by telling your friends and your parents of your decision
to abstain from sexual activities; always inform your boyfriend
of your decision. If he does not agree with it then he is
not respecting you or your decisions. Never forget
that your are a princess and it does not matter how others
judge you. As a princess you cannot be royal and act like
a peasant at the same time. Do not allow others to pressure
you into a decision. Remember your personal boundaries and
the reason you have a crown. If you have a history filled
with regrets it does not need to continue. Past mistakes should
not rule your future. You can still re-establish your boundaries
and polish your crown.
As you can see, there are privileges and responsibilities
of wearing such a beautiful crown. Chastity and freedom can
be fully enjoyed and you will be able to fulfill your dreams
and aspirations in life. You can affect the world for change
because people will respect you and the choices you have made.
Celebrate being a VP: a Virgin Princess.
